Works for the bus and the train too — swap Taxi for Bus or Zug.

• A Kommt auf den Verkehr an. — Depends on the traffic.

They'll say Steigen Sie ein. — Hop in.

Ask before the bags go in the boot, not after.

Q Wo ist der Zug in die Stadt? — Where's the train into the city?

• A Untergeschoss, Gleis 1. — Lower level, platform 1.

They'll say Alle zehn Minuten. — Every ten minutes.

Q Ihren Ausweis, bitte. — Your ID, please.
